Hiring manager asks job candidate if they can work six months before getting paid: 'The questions on these applications are wild'

Everyone get ready to wave your red flags because this hiring manager's application questions are pretty eyebrow-raising. 

If there is one thing this recruiter managed to do correctly, it's that he was at the very least transparent about how messed up the payment plan for this position was. However, that's as positive as one can be towards this guy after the ridiculous question he posed on this job application for a financial advisor position. Sometimes, when you're applying for jobs, certain demoralizing questions, comments, or descriptions become so normalized that you begin to think that perhaps you are the one with warped expectations.

More often than not, that's what these recruiters and companies want you to think. They want you to lower your expectations. They want you to feel like delaying payment for the first six months after being onboarded is somehow not out of the ordinary. Let's hover over this delayed payment structure for another moment. It's not like this employee would be able to delay his rent payment for that amount of time. No one should be able to make requests like this and still be allowed to hire folks.
